Most Australian utes, 4WDs and SUVs fit. Here's how to check, and what to do if you're not sure.
Will it fit?
f your vehicle has a tow bar with a square slot at the back, our carrier almost certainly fits. That square slot measures 50mm × 50mm, the Australian standard fitted to virtually every ute, 4WD and SUV on the road. If yours is marked 51mm or 2 inch, it still fits.

Do you need a hitch extension?
Most vehicles don't. But there are two situations where you will.
- Ute with a tray. Dual or single cab utes with an alloy or steel tray (not a tub) need the extension for clearance. Two pin positions give 240mm or 270mm of extra reach. Common on Hilux, Ranger, Triton, Colorado, BT-50, Navara, D-MAX and Amarok dual cabs.
- Oversized rear spare wheel. Large aftermarket rear spares (heavily-kitted 4WDs) need the extension to clear. A factory spare like a Prado's is usually fine without.
